“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Deut 28:2
It is His desire to bless us from the very beginning of time. He wants to make us fruitful and to set us apart as His holy nation. He will set us high above all nations of the earth. He wants to bless us both on earth and in Heaven and there is no doubt in the blessings that He desired to pour upon us.
However, the key point that we tend to ignore is that, we must first “…obey the voice of the Lord (our) God, to observe carefully His commandments…” (Deut 28:1)
When we feel that our brothers and sisters in Christ has been blessed in so many ways by God, and you ask “what about me, Lord? Where have my blessings gone?” Maybe it is time to reflect on your relationship with God. — At the same time, I’m ministering to myself.
I’ve been asking Him to reveal things to me, things that I don’t want Him to reveal but I need Him to reveal and confront them to me. At times, God may use others around us to acknowledge to us the unrighteous things that we did or do. Like many of you, I don’t particularly like it when people tells me what I did wrong, but in order to grow and fix the things that are not of God in our life, we need to be able to take those feedbacks positively.
It hurts when someone tells you that you did this wrong, you did that wrong and for certain reasons that you might not able to take in easily. Especially when that person says it with a negative manner. We need to hold back our emotions and think with our clear mind. At the same time, we need to be able to separate the right and the wrong according to God’s wisdom, which comes from the Word of God. I’m asking God to refer to me the Bible verse/s in which He’s answering me through.
When we allow our emotions to come besides clearing our mind and ask for God’s wisdom, satan interferes. The result is that you will never change and will never know whether or not you are truly righteous in His eyes. And this reflect to the blessings that He pour upon us but yet we never receive.
I’m claiming back my blessings from God that has been robbed from me, not allowing any gap for satan to interfere. I don’t want to turn aside from any of His words anymore, to the right or the left, to go after other gods and serve them. Instead, I will “…keep the commandments of the Lord (my) God and walk in His ways…” (Deut 28:9)
Sounds easy, yet hard to apply? “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13)
That was awesome!
